As the movie opens, a group of kids are walking around in Central Park rapping when
they come across Rich Bower(Grant) and Charlie(Phillips) groping each other with
another girl against a tree. The kids are quickly spotted and frightened away
while the menage-a-troi call it a day. In the background, a hip hop song is played,
with lyrics emphasizing Charlie is no longer, "daddy's little girl", thus setting up the
uneasiness of film's tone where cultural differences feel like water and oil coming
together.
