of his friend Tommy (McKidd) and Lizzy (Lynch), Renton (McGregor) relaxes in his apartment
with his friend Sick Boy (Miller), enjoying the show. But days of being off drugs
reawakens deep urges and thoughts in him. He realizes he needs a girl and to release
all that stored sexual energy. Earlier in the film, the high from drugs was compared to
the ecstasy of a sexual orgasm multiplied by a thousand times. Now without drugs, Renton
needs real sexual satisfaction.
