In a deleted scene, Sarah(Connelly) feels the pings of motherhood and
informs Fielding(Crudup) she wants to have a child. The camera then fades out
to a scene where the two are doing their best to procreate. Yet things go awry
when reality and social goals reset Sarah's mind. She stops Fielding from continuing.
Although it isn't outwardly spoken, Sarah's social conscience is self-evident.
Having a child will take away valuable time she could put to better use. Unfortunately,
the quality of the scene is washed out and dark because it was originally not refined and
intended to be included into the final motion picture.
